Online registration for the 2024 Rockbridge Community Festival has closed. We hope to host you next year!
All Vendor Spaces are $75
Registering for Your Space - As you will see on the registration form, there are separate categories for one vendor spot (12'x10') or a double vendor spot (24'x10).
Food Vendors:
Virginia State Law requires that food vendors providing food during temporary events have a current temporary food permit and post it where readily observable. Temporary food permits can be obtained through the Rockbridge-Buena Vista-Lexington Health Department (540-463-3185, ext. 4) for food permit information. Food Vendors are responsible for providing their own electricity/generator.
Terms and Conditions:
General Information - The Lexington Rotary Club and the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees are pleased to begin accepting applications for the Rockbridge Community Festival. This year will mark the 47th year of this popular arts and crafts festival conducted on Main Street in historic downtown Lexington. The Rockbridge Community Festival offers nearly 200 outdoor spaces to crafts people and community groups. Musical entertainment also enhances the event.
The Festival focuses on arts and crafts - not the sale of manufactured or mass produced goods. The Festival Committee reserves the right to decline any vendor application not compatible with the objectives of the Festival. Further, the Festival Committee reserves the exclusive right to sell liquid refreshments such as water and sodas, and prepared foods such as hotdogs. However, food vendors selling items other than those are encouraged to participate.
Space Assignments - Vendors will be notified of their space assignments by email prior to the day of the festival. Every effort will be made to provide each vendor with the space assignment they request, but please know that space assignments are done on a first come, first served basis.
One Brand Vendor/Non-compete - On a first come, first serve basis, the Rockbridge Community Festival will only allow one particular brand vendor per brand so as to limit direct competition within brands.
Supplies and equipment - All vendors are required to supply all needed supplies and equipment for their booth and display. Tables/chairs/display screens or any other supplies will not be provided by the festival committee.
Generators/Electricity - Vendors are responsible for providing their own electricity/generator. Generator noise must be minimized. This may require Vendor to place generator in a location at a distance from the attendees and may require additional extension cord length at the Vendor’s cost.
Set-up/Space Availability on Day Of - If you are bringing a tent, it must fit completely within your allotted space. If the tent is too big, you will be asked to take it down. This is a request from Emergency Services in the City of Lexington. Vendor spaces will be available by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the festival. Members of the sponsoring clubs can assist vendors with unloading, which must be completed by 8:30 a.m. Vehicles will not be permitted to return to the exhibit area until the festival ends at 3 p.m. Vendors are responsible for cleaning their assigned spaces and must leave the area no later than 5 p.m.
Sales taxes - Festival sales are between the vendor and the buyer. The Rockbridge Community Festival is not responsible for the collection of Virginia sales tax; that will be the responsibility of the vendor. A sales tax form is available here.
Liability - The Rockbridge Community Festival accepts no responsibility for liability for injury to any food vendor or any employee or agent of any vendor while in attendance. Also, the Festival accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of property of any vendor or that of any employee or agent.
Refunds - A refund of fees will be made to the vendors who cancel their registration two weeks prior to the festival. There will be no refund of vendor fees if the Festival Committee is forced to cancel the Festival due to inclement weather.
